Therapy
Individual
I use a variety of theoretical frameworks to help you to heal through one on one sessions. These include cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, brief therapy, solution focused therapy and family systems theory.
The outcome is to help you to identify unhealthy and unhelpful beliefs, thoughts and behaviors that sabotage your ability to live a healthy, wholesome life. We work together using your abilities, skills and strengths to move forward.
Primary areas of focus
- Grief and Loss:
- It’s completely natural to feel profound sadness after a major loss. Speaking with a caring professional can help process these complex emotions and find meaning during difficult times.
- Anxiety:
- We all feel anxious sometimes, but if worry ever becomes overwhelming, therapists teach effective skills to relax both mind and body.
- Depression:
- When feelings of hopelessness persist, counseling provides a safe space to understand what’s weighing us down and discover inner resources to improve mood.
- Women’s Concerns:
- From life transitions to relationships, women benefit immensely from having an empathetic female counselor help navigate personal challenges.
EAP (Employee Assistance Program)
Employee Assistance Programs provide services and resources to employees in areas of life when those concerns may affect the employee’s ability to effectively perform work responsibilities. The benefit is available to employees and their families.
As an employee assistance provider, my role is to assess and refer. I begin by assessing the mental and emotional health needs. Based on the assessment, we may engage in short term brief counseling or I will refer for additional support.
Mindfulness Meditation (Coming Soon)
“Mindfulness can be described as learning to bring our attention to the present moment by focusing on our breath and seeing what arises without judgement or bias.”
There are many benefits. Those who practice mindfulness meditation regularly report gains in stability, resilience, and clarity of thought. It is also not unusual to be less reactive to events and daily situations.
During these sessions, you will receive step by step instruction to learn how to practice mindfulness meditation. You will also learn the history of the practice, the benefits, as well as how practicing mindfulness can positively impact your life.
Each session includes extended practice time.

Relaxation/ Stress Management Consultation
Use this time for consultation and/or relaxation. This personalized relaxation consultation targets the underlying causes of your overwhelming stress. Learn to recognize when the underlying cause is active. Develop a plan to address it. Experience guided relaxation.
(Mindfulness Meditation and Relaxation/Stress Management Consultation are not intended to diagnose or treat mental illness or psychiatric concerns. They are not a substitute for therapy)
