This has been a busy summer for me, and I want to share a few of my activities.
Some of you know that I started Facebook Live broadcasts this past spring in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people were stressed and having trouble sleeping. Because of this, I started sharing sleep and stress relief tips. I continued those live broadcasts into May and June.
Changing Look
During this time, I began revamping the M.L. Bailey Consultants website with my web designer. While it is still under construction, the layout was chosen so visitors could navigate the pages easily. Artist Joana Kyle designed a beautiful logo that represents the essence of our company using our new colors. We chose these colors because they represent peace, joy, relaxation, and rest.
We also looked closely at the purpose, plan, and products for our company.
Reaching Out
During the month of July, I launched the “Get to Know Me month.” Almost every day we posted written blog posts to the REAL Social Workers Online Magazine and to Happyhalfhour.club website. I also did daily live broadcasts. The Get to Know Me month provided an opportunity for you to learn more about me. It helped to share some of my thoughts and answer questions about myself and how I do business. We shared our clarified purpose and new look.
On July 22, 2020 I had the pleasure of appearing live with LaShanda Henry Aka Sistasense as part of her Boss Conversations series. The topic was De-Stress Boss How to Get Through the Day Without Losing it. I had a lot of fun talking with her community of women entrepreneurs. Some shared their concerns around stress. I talked about stress and the hidden ways in which we increase our stress levels.
Creating
I have developed new support services for you. Do you feel like your daytime thoughts invade your mind at bedtime?
I just completed a new course that addresses how your daytime actions affect your ability to get a restful night’s sleep. It is being launched this month.
Daytime Actions for Night Time Rest: Reset Your Daily Activities for a Restful Night’s Sleep is an excerpt from the expanded course Fall in Love with Falling Asleep Again. This course starts your journey to a restful night’s sleep by helping you to recognize the hidden actions that sabotage your ability to fall asleep quickly, sleep through the night and wake up well rested.
This one-hour course guides you to take a thoughtful look at how you interact, react, and respond to situations throughout your day. Additionally, we look at the long-lasting effects these interactions may have on how we relate to sleep.
Although there is a nominal cost to take this course, the first 100 people who register for the course Get 75% off by using coupon code 75OFF.
I added more content to the 5-module course Fall in Love with Falling Asleep Again. This course is designed to provide intense guidance around unnoticed hindrances to stress relief and restful sleep. I developed this course based on my own experiences with stress and insomnia. The tips I tried did not always work.
Do you feel like the relaxation or sleep tips you tried did not work? That is how I felt. When I looked more
closely as to how I managed my day, I realized that I sabotaged myself in ways I had not noticed before. I used what I learned to develop Fall in Love with Falling Asleep Again.
The course which is an expansion of Daytime Actions for Night Time Rest launches soon.
Several years ago, I conducted live in-person guided relaxation sessions. These sessions were popular and garnered great enthusiasm. I have developed a model for virtual guided relaxation sessions. For now, I am only offering individual sessions. These 30-minute sessions are personalized and offer stress relief using a variety of modalities. The name of this support is Staycation Relaxation Experience.
This is what I have been doing? How are you doing?
